Day 24 - September 13
Today we left Cumberland. We said a tearful goodbye to Peter. It's always hard to say goodbye, but we had such a wonderful time together, we will keep those memories until we meet again. We stopped in Nanaimo for a walk through the waterfront and lunch. It is such a busy harbour, it is so nice to see. We had an amazing lunch at the Lighthouse Bistro which is perched above the water so you can watch all the goings on of boats coming in, dinghies going in and out, and planes landing and taking off. Then we carried on to Victoria. This part of the island is so much busier. The roads were quite congested. We arrived at our beautiful campground in Victoria called Fort VIctoria RV Park. It is right on the E & N Railtrail which we hope to bike tomorrow. It is the most immaculate campground you'll ever see. We are surrounded by cedar hedges and have a paving stone patio. We already biked to get some groceries on the rail-trail. Now we're enjoying a gin and tonic and catching up on emails, etc. It's nice to have wi-fi and super clean washrooms with showers steps away from us.

The picture of Peter waving goodbye.....love it. It made me long to hug him!! Looks like a nice spot you have in Victoria. Do you have time to see the Butchart gardens? Lots of love to you both!!
